Course description
This programme has been developed to meet the growing demand for skilled and resourceful managers in this expanding worldwide industry. Tourism is one of the major growth industries of the world economy and important in the UK. The cultural assets and heritage of the UK brings millions of visitors each year. The 2012 Olympics with all its associated cultural events, is expected to boost tourism in the UK significantly, making tourism an excellent and employable specialism for any graduate.
While individuals entering this area require a sound grounding in general business principles, there are specific areas that require a more dedicated set of skills and knowledge. This programme focuses on the management of tourism to produce employable graduates who can go on to work in tourism within the UK or overseas.
