Course description
Graduate Certificate: complete three modules, worth a total of 60 credits:
-Principles of Geographic Information Systems (30 credits)
-Environmental Modelling (15 credits)
-Remote Sensing and Image Processing (15 credits).
Graduate Diploma: complete these three modules, plus an independent geographical study (worth 60 credits), to a total of 120 credits.
Some modules are only available in alternate years.
Teaching
Teaching on this programme has a strong computer-based component. Graduate Diploma students must complete an independent geographical study as an introduction to personal research within this discipline.
Assessment
A combination of unseen examinations and coursework, as well as a dissertation.
