Course description
The MBA in Risk and Disaster Management, offered for a September 2008 start, is a unique programme designed to enable practitioners to develop management skills to operate in senior management positions. It is a taught MBA designed to develop the key concepts of business practice, disaster management and risk assessment.
The programme allows the opportunity for students to focus their learning on their particular professional development needs. It will develop critical evaluation and the application of key elements of business planning and the management of risk and disasters.
The course runs full-time over one year, or part-time up to 3 years. It comprises of ten taught modules and a dissertation.

* Management of Urban Disasters
* Research Methods
These modules focus on the industrialised nations but will also deal with global aspects of business, risk and disaster management. Staff delivering the course have a wide range of practice based knowledge and research skills.
