  This UK based modular course is aimed at healthcare professionals who are complete novices or have good working knowledge and experience in ultrasound but have not undertaken a formal programme of study or if they wish to add more knowledge and skills to their portfolio. The ultrasound programme is accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME). The course is suitable for doctors, nurses, midwives and sonographers.Our unique and interactive virtual learning environment platform "WeLearn" enables Learners to complete the knowledge component from anywhere in the UK or world-wide, while acquisition and validation of advanced ultrasound skills is achieved through intensive practice at our on-site state of the art ultrasound simulators or in the Learner’s own working environment. Practical skills exams take place at our centre in the UK and at selected international sites.We offer modules in the following subjects: Imaging Science and Technology (mandatory), Fundamentals of Obstetric Ultrasound, Fundamentals of Gynaecological Ultrasound, Essentials of Early Pregnancy Ultrasound, Foundations of General Medical Ultrasound, Obstetric Ultrasound for Advanced Practitioners, Gynaecological Ultrasound for Advanced Practitioners, Fetal Cardiac Ultrasound, and Core and Advanced Vascular Ultrasound. Enquiries and applications are accepted throughout the year. Course starts in March and September of each year. On successful completion of three modules or more, Learners are awarded a "Professional Diploma in Practical Ultrasound". Contact us for more information.
