Entry Requirements Students must have the subject knowledge and intellectual qualities to be teachers, plus grade C at GCSE or equivalent in English and mathematics; a good degree (2:2 or above) from a UK university or equivalent; and clear spoken and written English. Course description
Ideally candidates should have a degree containing the equivalent of at least one year’s full-time study in a related area such as art, design, computing, electronics or textiles. It is also possible to demonstrate practical ability in other ways and various short courses are specifically designed for this purpose.
This programme gives substantial training in the core areas of design, drawing, graphics and problem solving, and offers the specialist fields of electronics, resistant materials and textiles. The strong use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), including state of the art Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM), is central to all project work.
