    PgDip Active Implantable Device Technology Management

    This course is a collaborative venture between the University of Teesside and Heart Rhythm UK. It is designed for science graduates and healthcare professionals who wish to develop advanced skills in the management of patients with active implantable medical devices.

    Course structure
    Core modules focus on evidence-based practice and research. Specialist modules address the science and technology of the devices, and relevant physiology and pathology. You'll also cover the therapeutic role of these devices and the management of a monitoring service. The programme is delivered entirely online except for a one-day induction at the University and six days' attendance at a specialist clinical centre.

    Completing this course will help you prepare to take responsibility for monitoring and managing patients with active implantable devices (cardiac devices initially).
