General programme structure
As a truly effective leader you will need to become comfortable with the multi-dimensional and strategic nature of your position, and you need to be able to spur people on by inspiring in them the will to excel. As a successful manager you will also need to focus on implementing specific tasks. Our forward-looking programme will teach you how to handle both of these roles.
You will study a range of subjects, such as decision-making, stress in the workplace, performance management as well as how to manage time and master technology. You will also explore issues that promote a sense of unity and motivation among members of your company or organisation. Such areas of study will include communication methods, coaching, developing and releasing individuals’ and teams’ potential, exercising authority, learning to delegate, interviewing, mentoring and recruitment.
Our programme aims to encourage you to become a confident, knowledgeable and competent manager in your own right and at the same time help you develop the skills you will also need should you decide to continue in further specialist study. With this in mind, the first module you will undertake will be an introduction to postgraduate study.
