Coaching is increasingly recognised as a tool that enables organisations to release and develop the true potential of its people. It also plays a key role in facilitating more effective internal and external interactions to the benefit of everyone involved.
With the business world moving forward at such a rapid pace, it has never been more critical for anyone involved in the management of people to have access to the most up-to-date and cutting edge coaching theory and practice available.
The fundamental aim of the Postgraduate Certificate in Coaching is to develop coaches who instinctively know how to select, apply and integrate appropriate psychological, business and relationship coaching techniques into the day-to-day performance of an organisation.
This fast-paced and highly stimulating course is aimed at individuals who want to make an immediate and positive difference within an organisation and enhance their own coaching skills within a dedicated coaching context.
With a deliberately small intake of just 15 people per group and three intakes per year, the programme aims to develop competent, skilled coaches who operate ethically and professionally. This will enable you to create greatly improved levels of performance within an organisation. Using the tools, theory and practices you develop during the programme, you will be able to identify those areas where coaching would have genuine benefits and be equipped to put those techniques into immediate and measurable effect.
The PG Certificate in Coaching is a modularised programme taught over nine months. The programme is divided into three modules:

Module two - Coaching Interventions includes:

Module three - Coaching Competence includes:

Between modules, participants are required to coach and be coached by peers from the programme as well as creating a coaching development plan at the start of the programme. Participants are also required to submit a 3000 word reflective piece relating to their coaching experiences between modules.
In addition, participants are required to conduct coaching sessions and gather feedback from coachees within their organisations. This structured feedback together with personal reflections will form a 'coaching portfolio' to be submitted at the end of the programme along with a 1000 word reflective piece, critiquing your learning and development as a coach throughout the programme.
