Course description
The course is clinically relevant to physiotherapy practice both in the UK and internationally.
Students come from various cultural backgrounds and bring varied experiences with them. We draw on this diversity during the course and encourage you to share ideas and experience, comparing and contrasting clinical experiences and backgrounds.
The course is modular and builds on your clinical experience.
You learn to evaluate your practice critically through an evidence-based approach. You cater for your own professional development needs, by choosing modules and assignment topics specific to your interests.
We deliver the course through active and independent learning. All modules have a clinical focus and we expect you to apply your learning to the clinical context. Where appropriate, we may use patients as part of the module delivery.
You may already have, or be seeking to gain, Health Professions Council (HPC) registration. We structure the course to allow you to meet HPC registration requirements. This means that if you start the course without registration, you develop the skills and knowledge needed for you to apply successfully for HPC registration. Attending this course does not guarantee HPC registration.
