Designed for students planning careers in banking, financial institutions and markets Also provides a basis for other careers in economics and/or for a research degree. Course structure emphasises skills required by economists in financial institutions. Optional modules allow you to develop your own interests.

Entry requirements
Entry requirements Upper second-class honours degree or better from a UK university, or equivalent overseas qualification, or approved professional qualification. If you have other qualifications please contact the Postgraduate Secretary for advice. A background in economics is essential. Our standard English requirements for overseas applicants are: IELTS 6.5 (with no less than 5 in each part), or TOEFL 575 with TWE 4.5 (paper based) or TOEFL 232 (computer based) or TOEFL 90 (internet-based) or equivalent.
