COURSE CONTENT
With an international focus, this programme explores the various ways in which supply chains can be managed, planned and coordinated to achieve higher levels of value for the end consumer as well as more sustainable distribution solutions. It offers critical perspectives on the theory and practice of contemporary logistics and supply chain management and explains the fundamental principles, exploring current research by leading academics in the field. Drawing on the insights of industrialists and practitioners, the programme demonstrates current practices in logistics and supply chain management. Through practical student projects it also affords the opportunity for students to investigate innovative solutions to real-life logistics and supply chain problems.

FURTHER INFORMATION
The programme is split into three semesters. The first two are teaching semesters and the third is spent working independently, with academic supervision, on the project or dissertation.
ASSESSMENT
Modules are assessed through a range of means including coursework, examinations, presentations and group work, and all students will complete a project or dissertation of 15,000–20,000 words.
SPECIAL FEATURES
Students on this programme will benefit from the expertise and resources of the Logistics Institute, a world-class centre based at the Business School. The programme links with the MSc Radio Systems and Logistics Technology, and cross-disciplinary dissertation projects are available. Outside speakers further enhance the MSc programmes by relating their real-life experiences to provoke fresh insights into business practice. Company visits and in-company dissertation projects also provide first-hand experience of the UK business environment.
