Course description
COURSE CONTENT
Students on this programme are invited to consider financial management issues from the perspective of a manager within a business organisation who has special responsibility for managing its financial arrangements. This approach ensures that each issue is considered from a practical, real-world standpoint. The programme builds upon this by providing a firm grounding in the theory and practices of accounting and finance in the business sector, adopting an international perspective on financial management. Issues explored throughout the programme include strategic approaches to financial management practices, traditional and contemporary developments in financial management practice, and the theoretical underpinning of financial management. Students will also gain an understanding of how financial information can, and does, influence management decision making within outside organisations.
