    What will I learn?
    The COVID-19 pandemic highlights the challenge in managing the complex forces and interrelationships that shape the health of the environment and the general public. Build the skills to become an advanced practitioner with our MSc Health and Global Environment postgraduate degree. You will study modules such as:

    -Global Determinants of Environmental Health
    -Energy and Sustainability
    -Occupational Health and Hygiene
    -Research Design and Delivery
    -Infectious Disease Control
    -Communicable Diseases

    The MSc course is completed by a dissertation. In the case of part-time students, the dissertation is usually based in the workplace. 

    Teaching is by lectures, some delivered by visiting practitioners, fieldwork; site visits, seminars and tutorials. Students will also be provided with opportunities to review practical applications of environmental interventions designed to promote public health.

    Assessment
    Each module is assessed individually through coursework comprising individual essays or group reports and presentations.

    Career progression
    This course is a relevant vocational qualification for applicants seeking health, safety and environment-related employment. It is also designed to meet the continuing professional development needs of personnel in government, industry and the voluntary sector. Course alumni have secured roles working as planners and administrators in public health intervention units, trainers in community education services. Some have used the knowledge and skills they have developed on the course to secure senior posts in environmental health practice.

    Entry Requirements
    -An honours degree in any subject
    -An ordinary degree, HNC or HND with relevant experience
    -We welcome applications from students with alternative qualifications and/or significant relevant experience, subject to approval through a process of Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL).
    -International students must provide evidence of proficiency in English - IELTS 6.0 band score or a score of TOEFL 550 or above (213 computer based) with a TWE of 4.0 are proof of this

    Duration

    -Full-time: 12 months
    -Part-time: 24 months
