This intercollegiate MA is taught by staff from King's College London, University College London and Queen Mary, London. You will take a compulsory core module, Theoretical & Methodological Aspects and then choose from a range of additional modules including: Describing & Teaching the German Language; Themes in Language History & Language Culture; Trends & Developments in Modern German; Corpus-based Text Analysis; Language, Identity & Culture.
You may also study abroad for a semester at Gießen University, Germany, concentrating on German as a foreign language teaching.
This MA may also be taken by research, which comprises a module in research methodology, consisting of a selection of classes taught on the MA in German Linguistics and the MA in Digital Humanities at King's College London as well as a dissertation of 30,000 words and a viva voce examination.
