Entry requirements
A 2.1 or 2.2 Honours degree, or equivalent from a non- UK institution, with an average of 55% or above in law or related discipline/subject. Consideration will be given to mature applicants who lack standard qualifications but have significant professional or managerial experience in a relevant field (eg banking, corporate finance, investments, insurance, management consulting, fund management, securities, private equity, venture capital, commercial property development and project finance). You will need fluent written and spoken English to study at postgraduate level. If your first language is not English, an attainment of at least IELTS 6.5 or equivalent must be demonstrated. The University offers pre -sessional summer programmes if you need to improve your English before starting your course.

Course Content
The course develops your knowledge of the operation of the venture capital market and of the regulation of both practitioners and transactions; we also enhance your skills relevant to this specialist area of practice, including those employed in appraising business structures and the choice of finance for them.
We welcome applications from solicitors, barristers, bankers, accountants and others working in occupations requiring an in-depth knowledge of the law as it affects venture capital.
