Objectives
All our applied courses emphasise core, generic journalism skills and knowledge - writing, researching, interviewing, organising and structuring information - and then apply them to the specific media platforms. This is achieved through media production to professional standards in a simulated workplace environment, work experience and exposure to media professionals. Students examine a range of journalism issues - ethical, legal, historical, organisational - recognising that the best journalists are those who reflect on journalistic practice. The MA in Print Journalism is accredited by the National Council for the Training of Journalists.
