  The programme provides an advanced understanding of international affairs, with an emphasis on security matters. This MA addresses the needs of those seeking to develop careers in government, the armed forces, nongovernmental organisations and international business (e.g. risk assessment).The programme grounds students in the theoretical study of international studies, making it appropriate for those whose interest is primarily scholarly.   In the first year of this two-year programme, students

  • Dimensions of Strategy
  
  In the second year of the programme, students choose
  2–3 of the following core/optional modules.

  • Case Studies in International Relations
  • Applied Strategy
  
  All students must write a 15,000 word dissertation.
