    Programme

LLM Business Law is particularly suited to lawyers and graduates working, or wishing to work, within a business environment and options available enable participants to specialise in particular areas such as Trade Law or Tax Law.

Modules may include Consumer Law, EC Competition Law, Intellectual Property Law, Law of Health and Safety, Company Law, Individual Labour Law, Law of International Trade and Private International Law, Business Taxation, Civil Liberties in the Workplace, Insolvency Law and Sale and Supply of Goods.

The LLM is studied by distance learning (normally taking 21/4 years in total to complete), although an accelerated route (15 months) is available. The distance learning mode involves attendance at De Montfort Law School, Leicester, for a maximum of nine Saturday courses during the period of study. The time between these weekend visits is used for individual study, for which access to a well resourced university law library is essential.
