  • Objectives
    The course is designed for those interested in the social impact of law, and is of particular relevance to careers in the public or voluntary sector, such as law centres, advice and social centres, local government and police, or in community/youth work. We aim to develop a wide range of legal and transferable skills, as well as specialist knowledge of social-based legal areas. The course may be followed as a qualifying law degree (providing exemption from the academic stage of professional legal training) or as a non-qualifying law degree.
  • Entry requirements
    You should have at least 280 points, including 160 points from two or more A-levels. English Language GCSE at grade C or above (or equivalent) is also required. These requirements may be varied in individual cases.

    Course structure

    Single Honours students take eight modules at each of three levels. For a qualifying law degree for professional exemption, you need to take all the foundation subjects as required by the Law Society and the Bar Council.
