Comments about Life Sculpting - Course - Part-time - Bournemouth - Dorset
This therapeutic art form is a great way to create your own piece of 3D art in a very relaxing atmosphere. Working within fully equipped studios directed by a tutor with substantial experience of sculpting for industry, this course will guide you through the stages of producing a basic sculpt in air-drying clay.
The course will enable you to develop a range of skills from armature building, to manipulating clay, adding shape, form, muscle tone and detail. Through observation of a life model, from which you will take accurate measurements, you will learn how to transfer these measurements to your life size clay sculpt.
Upon completion of this fascinating course, you will take away with you your completed sculpture, which, after drying completely, can then be given the finish you require. This may be cellulose or acrylic paint, both of which are available in a variety of metallic finishes. Texture can also be applied at this point.
Entry RequirementsThere are no entry requirements to join this course, just plenty of enthusiasm.
What you need to bringBasic sculpting tools, you should wear apron and old clothes. You will be able to purchase a bag of air drying clay from the tutor for your sculpt.
