Comments about Jewellery and Enamelling Workshop - Course - Part-time - Bournemouth - Dorset
The course will offer you an introduction to different Jewellery making processes, for beginners and those who have previous experience. Allowing experimentation with various different techniques used for adding colour to metal. Copper will be used initially to experiment with different types of basic enamelling techniques. Students are then welcome to purchase silver from recommended sources. You will also be introduced to cold resin techniques, using resin to capture found objects or images that can be used to embellish jewellery designs. Patination will be covered as a means of colouring and adding texture to copper. You will also be hand colouring anodised aluminium, which creates exciting instant patterns, and colour on the surface of the metal, which can be used in combination with silver. You may want to try all of the processes offered, or focus on just one or two, as you wish. Through an informative induction, you will be provided with all relevant Health and Safety information regarding good workshop practice relating to each given process.
What you need to bringMost of the equipment will be provided in our workshops and your tutor will give details as to where to purchase further materials and silver.
