  Duration of Course
  One Year (6 hours/week - 2 evenings)
  
  What does it include?
  This part-time evening course allows students to complete a Level 1 or Level 2 vocational qualification in the use of application software for the workplace (ITQ). Students are also able to sit European Computer Drivers Licence (ECDL) tests and complete both qualifications by the end of the course. The topics will include:
  
  * Making Selective Use of IT
  * Using the Internet and E-mail
  * Word processing software
  * Spreadsheet software
  * Database software
  * Presentation Software
  * Use of IT Systems
  
  What do I need to get on to it?
  You do need to have some experience of computer knowledge and skills to join this course. You need to be able to read the workbooks and to follow the instructions. Employment in a role which includes the use of Office Applications would be an advantage but is not essential.
  
  Where does it lead?
  Students may decide to continue onto a full-time course of vocational study such as the Advanced ITQ Level 3. Employment opportunities will also be enhanced for students who complete both the ECDL and ITQ qualifications.
