    This course will allow you to gain expertise in international law and to study one or more specific areas of international law or international relations.

    Course content

    This course consists of:

        * Five 20 credit modules in substantive law areas
        * One research skills module (20 credits)
        * One research design module (10)
        * Dissertation

    Teaching, learning and assessment

    The course is taught via workshops, lectures and seminars. Assessment is by coursework, short class-based examinations and presentation of workshop papers.

    Course structure

    Modules are taught in ten- to twelve-week terms from:

        * September to December
        * January to April
        * April to May

    This is followed by the presentation of a dissertation.

    Expertise

    Staff have worked on publications and have research experience in relevant fields.

    Research opportunities

    Submission of 50 credit dissertation and possible progression to MPhil/PhD.
