Whether you are a school leaver starting out in life, an adult looking for professional qualifications to further your career, a business searching through the mass of training providers and opportunities, or you're looking for a course in something a bit different as a hobby then Brooklands College has the course for you. Its not all about qualifications though, Brooklands offers a range of leisure courses where you can learn new skills and meet new friends.
Brooklands College offers:
Courses for 14-16 year olds under the Increased Flexibility Programme. Essentially the programme brings school aged pupils into a post 16 learning environment to enhance their vocational opportunities The aim of these courses is to
- Complement and enhance the existing curriculum in schools by providing courses which schools do not provide.
- Have a practical/vocational emphasis, and are linked to local employment and Further Education opportunities.
- Lead to a recognised qualification.
- Encourage students who would not otherwise have done so to consider further education in order to improve their employment prospects.
Your school must choose to offer these programmes as part of their GCSE choices, and not all schools choose to do this. These courses are a fantastic opportunity to learn something new that you cannot learn at School
Adult Courses
Returning to College can be a daunting experience, but whether you are choosing to learn for fun or to improve your career prospects, Brooklands College has a great choice of courses available from Wine Appreciation to Managing your Own Business.
