Course description
The programmes combine specialist taught courses with general training in management, business organisation, strategy and research methods. The specialist courses cover topics such as models of the innovation process, strategic management of innovation, the firm as a nexus of social relations, social capital, inter-firm networks, national innovation systems, and innovation and technology policy.
Option modules cover areas such as the business environment, corporate governance, e-business, international business, international human resource management, international business ethics, international finance, European policy and management, sport management, the business of football, multinational enterprises, environmental management and strategic management.
Students on the MSc and MRes programmes also complete a dissertation on an aspect covered by the programme, supervised by a member of staff doing research within that area.
