Course description
General information
A two year part time course leading to a Higher National Certificate awarded by the University of Greenwich. This course has been designed by Industry, the College and the University of Greenwich to meet with the identified needs of technicians involved with formulation, pharmaceutical development, quality control, quality assurance, and analytical development. The course is taught by a mixture of academic staff and experts from the pharmaceutical industry. Allows direct progression to Year 3 of the University of Greenwich's 5 year part-time BSc Pharmaceutical Science Allows progression to other higher level courses Provides in-depth information related to employment needs Develops transferable skills

Year 1:

* Practical and Study Skills
* Control Processes
* Physiological Processes and Pharmaceutical Technology
* Biological Molecules
* Practical and Study Skills.
Year 2:
* Physiological Systems and Regulation
* Bioenergetics and Metabolism
* Practical Unit
* Biochemical and Pharmaceutical Analysis
* Pharmaceutical Products
* Practical Unit.
Note: Each semester divides the academic year in two, with semester examinations in January and June respectively.
Teaching and assessment
In course assessment and for most modules, a final examination at the end of each semester.
