Course description
This part-time programme has been designed to meet the needs of healthcare professionals and legal personnel with an interest in health law who wish to understand the legal and ethical context of working in contemporary healthcare and to develop the knowledge and skills to support legally safe and ethically sound clinical practice. Students are able to access a range of modules pertinent to their individual practice areas within an inter-professional environment; stand-alone modules, and a range of delivery modes and awards enhance flexibility.
The programme is well supported by a range of legally qualified specialists and healthcare professionals with expertise in health law and ethics; external specialists will make a contribution to the modules.
Teaching methods
You will be taught by specialists in their fields through seminars, lectures and tutorials. Modules are assessed by written coursework, case studies and presentations. To complete the masters degree you will write a substantial piece of written work (8,000 – 10,000 words) related to the application of health law and ethics to your specialist professional field.
