Objectives

It will be suitable for those with a Graphics and Media Design or Photojournalism background as well as for those developing story and novel writing skills. Students will develop their ability in areas such as the relay’ of text and image through a variety of forms Above all, the Certificate will involve selecting strategies appropriate to audience and mode of delivery. You will benefit from a cross-college perspective, a major feature of which is industry collaboration. Encouraging students to generate concepts and ideas for commercial publications is a key element of the curriculum. This, however, will still leave you to develop writing and thinking skills particularly associated with the world of fiction. You will develop your skills by working alongside LCC’s team of creative writers, on a range of individual and college-based projects. The Certificate will provide you with a portfolio of written exposition each with a common thread and practice-based focus. It will enhance your skills in a variety of contexts and is particularly suited to aspiring writers with a keen interest in other mediums of creative expression.
