• Entry requirements
  Entry requirements Students need to be over 18 years of age and will normally be expected to have at least one A level together with at least five GCSE passes at grades A-C, including Mathematics and English. Alternatively students will have a relevant BTEC (EdExcel) National Diploma with at least three FE level three courses passed at or above, or equivalent SCOTVEC qualifications or Vocational Qualifications considered equivalent to (1) or (2) above. Students without formal entry qualifications may be admitted as a result of their life and/or work experiences. There will be an interview and induction programme as part of the entry process.

• Course description
  General information
  
  This is a two to three year business degree aimed at people who are already employed and who want to gain a business management qualification whilst working. The first two years study will be spent studying at the College two evenings a week supplemented by Saturday workshops. The optional third year will be spent taking the qualification to BA Honours level through The University of Greenwich if the student wishes.
  
  The programme includes course sessions and workshops combined with work-based application and projects thus enabling students to develop a range of practical skills and to acquire an appreciation and understanding of the diverse factors involved in business management.

  Teaching and assessment
  
  Assessment will be linked to units and assignments in the form of presentations, reports, studies and time constrained assessments. In addition, the Work Based Project is done in the student's workplace and reflects the theory and learning from the classroom based sessions.
  
  Learning will take place through lectures, tutorials and workshops, applying theory from the programme to the student's workplace through a Work Based Project and on a continuous basis as appropriate to the student.
  
  Progression
  
  The foundation degree provides a progression route into the final year of the BA honours programme.
