Objectives
If you ever wanted to study for one of these professions but did not have the necessary qualifications to apply, then this course may meet your requirements. It is a one year full-time course starting in September with successful students joining the degree programme in the September of the following year. It offers you the opportunity to develop the necessary skills and knowledge to progress to your chosen health profession. You will study the foundation science that supports successful study at degree level and be introduced to the health service, to patients and to the professions. Some modules are shared with students from the Science Foundation Course.

Entry requirements
Entry Requirements Equivalent to 120 tariff points, but we will consider alternative qualifications. It is not anticipated that you will have studied a science A level. We may consider those who were unable to complete their studies. You will also offer GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above. We welcome applications from people of all ages. If you have alternative qualifications, please contact us for advice. You need to demonstrate the personal and interpersonal skills required to work with vulnerable people. Offers are subject to interview, satisfactory checks with Occupational Health and the Criminal Records Bureau and students are required to inform the University of any change in their circumstances during the course.
