Objectives
The aim of this programme is to provide a hands-on experience in fine art primarily to satisfy a personal need to explore and find expression through fine art media. The programme also enables students to further personal development, to provide an opportunity to continue study and to further develop career potential. Students will develop their skills using media appropriate to the content and context of their work.

Entry requirements
Entry requirements An art foundation course or Advanced GNVQ/ACVE or equivalent, plus a suitable portfolio of relevant work. Mature students and non-standard applications welcome

Course description
For the HNC/HND the first year covers a broad range of disciplines including two and three dimensional, lens-based and digital media. These practical areas are supported through contextual studies. By the second year, students will have developed a personal fine art identity, which will lead to a final project and exhibition.
