    Entry Requirements A degree in electrical and/or electronic engineering with a 2.2 grade or equivalent. Where English is not the first language, a language qualification is required, such as IELTS scoring 6.0. Students without a first degree but with professional and vocational experience (e.g. Incorporated Engineer (IEng) or Chartered Engineer (CEng) status) may be considered subject to demonstrating the potential to succeed

  • Course description
    Embedded systems are at the heart of many engineering devices. Building on a first degree in electrical/electronic engineering, this programme considers how embedded systems are designed and implemented in both hardware and software.

    The postgraduate programme develops technical skills and knowledge at an advanced level as well as analytical and management skills of students.

    Specific subject specialism is underpinned by the major research project. Many of these are derived from our industrial links and a number are proposed by students, reflecting their own interests or experience of their employers.
