Our practical 20-week (2 term) Digital Film Production Training course offers you the opportunity to develop skills in all areas of filmmaking and an appreciation of the many different genres of filmmaking e.g. documentary, experimental and commercial film production.
The course is designed for those who want to access intensive practical filmmaking training, but can only commit to a part-time schedule. It is ideal for those considering a career change, wish to increase current skill-set for professional filmmaking purposes or want to explore their potential within the many and varied disciples involved in producing a film, or those who have a film idea but require the skills in which to move forward.
The course will provide you the opportunity to explore, appreciate and practice a diverse range of important skills, culminating in the production of a short film, that students will gain experience filming, directing, assist with the editing process in the culmination of a final screening.
Students attending the course are expected to collaborate as part of a small team, supporting each other closely, matching the high professional standards expected of the industry. Classes will take place over a combination of evening and Saturday filming sessions (please refer to published dates).
This Digital Film Production Training course is a skills-based, hands-on course that provides the practical expertise and foundation in which to apply these skills in the professional arena. You will get the chance to make a range of short narrative films or documentaries, through to promotional videos to professional standards.
Experienced media professionals who bring a wealth of understanding and knowledge deliver the course; you will have the opportunity to gain a diverse range of practical skills within both a theoretical and work place environment. A full range of professional media equipment and software will enable you to develop transferable skills for the rapidly changing contemporary media industry.
