Comments about Creative Writing – An Introduction - Course - Part-time - Bournemouth - Dorset
Discover your own unique voice in this creative writing course. It provides an opportunity for all aspiring writers to develop the skills and techniques for writing fiction.
It looks at practical ways to get started, whilst promoting greater writing confidence.
The focus of this course is placed on practical exercises supported by discussion and examples and builds upon the strengths of each writer; it will give you an insight into the creative process and encourage you to achieve your writing goals.
Emphasis is placed on developing characters, improving your preferred dialogue, descriptive writing, showing not telling, handling points of view, story and plot.
Assignments will be set on developing ideas, finding an authorial voice, and encouraging observational research. You will be encouraged to bring in your own work in order for you to receive constructive feedback from the tutor and the group.
