Course description
Duration of course:
1 year – daytime.
NB: Daytime Programmes of study are available on a full-time basis, or part-time for those in receipt of DSS benefits and needing to satisfy the conditions of availability for work.
Where does it lead?
OCR or level 3 National Business courses and NVQ occupational/ skills courses. Students could also progress to employment or training opportunities. Mature students may progress onto our Access to Business provision.

- ENTERPRISE AND OPERATIONS
- FINANCE IN BUSINESS
- COMMUNICATION IN BUSINESS
- WORKING WITH PEOPLE IN BUSINESS
- PROMOTION IN BUSINESS
Plus:
- English for Business levels 1 & 2
- Key skills qualifications in Number, Communication and IT at levels 1 & 2
- Tutorials
- Careers advice and guidance
- Industrial visits/ guest speakers
Assessment is largely through coursework and some external examinations
What qualifications do I need?
One or more of the following:
-GNVQ Foundation (subjects other than Business will be considered) or other equivalent level 1 qualification
-A selection of GCSEs at grade D-G
-A suitable level of English and Maths (assessed through College diagnostic test) commensurate to the demands of the course
