How NVQs work: NVQs are based on national occupational standards. These are statements of performance that describe what competent people in a particular occupation are expected to be able to do. They cover all the main aspects of an occupation, including best practice, the ability to adapt to future requirements, and the knowledge and understanding that underpin competent performance. Candidates match their performance with the NVQ standards as they learn, and produce evidence to prove they have the competence to meet the standards.
Mode of delivery: The above programmes are not College based courses, rather they are delivered and assessed in the workplace (although the College may be able to provide training facilities). All programmes are tailored to suit the specific needs of organisations and their employees. For example, focussing on specific units within qualifications, delivered to individuals or groups, at times that suit you.
