What is this course about?
Are you looking for a course that you can join without qualifications? Have you missed out on education at school? Do you have difficulties when you are learning? The Entry Level Course is for young people who enjoy learning and doing practical activities. You may not have done well at school but you will be keen to learn and get a qualification for your skills., ,
What will I study?
The Entry Level Course is for young people who enjoy learning and doing practical activities. You may not have done well at school but you will be keen to learn and get a qualification for your skills.
There are three main parts of the course:
First you study Literacy, Numeracy and IT to give you a good grounding in these areas. You will gain an Edexcel Certificate to show that you have developed these skills.
The second part introduces you to some areas of different skills you will use at work. You will produce assignments and work towards the Entry Level Certificate in Skills for Working Life.
You also follow a programme of personal development leading to an additional qualification - the ASDAN Bronze Award. This will build on personal skills and involves various activities. It will help you develop the essential abilities you need to succeed in education, work and life.
What can I do after the course?
When you finish the course and get your certificates, you can expect to progress to any level 1 course in the college. Or you may decide that you want to continue improving your learning and skills by doing a training programme and working for an NVQ - National Vocational Qualification.
