This introductory one-day course is designed for freelance translators and interpreters who would like to take a more pro-active approach to promoting their services to end clients and agencies for a positive impact on their income. Module 1 The Market: Explaining End Customer Behaviour & Business Drivers
We investigate current market dynamics, trends and their strong impact on customer behaviour and purchasing decisions.
Module 2: Sales Basics for Freelance Translators
This is an introduction to sales for non-sales people to learn basic sales concepts and techniques. We will dispel common misconceptions about sales is an important role a sales mentality can play in winning and retaining customers. The goal is to get participants comfortable with a more commercial approach to customer relationships.
Module 3: Developing a Rapport with Clients
Learn how to gain and retain customer interest by having relevant business discussions based on their industry, company and role. In this hands-on module you will identify your ideal clients and develop customized rapport-building tools that will also serve as the foundation for all customer communications and your value proposition.
Module 4: Positioning Your Services
The results of the “Rapport Development Module” will serve as the foundation for your value proposition. This module will focus on how to communicate that value proposition to your target market.
