Who is this course for?
This course is a progression from the City & Guilds Level1 course. It is aimed at young people who have completed Level 1 woodwork and furniture-making.
What do I need to get on the course?
You must have completed Level 1 woodwork, in addition you must have a proven record of safe and responsible behavior and an excellent attitude towards the subject

Course description
What is this course about?
You will study for a range of City & Guild Qualifications aimed at developing a wide range of woodworking skills. Assessment will be mainly practical : portfolio and practical work, internally assessed and externally verified.
What will I study?
You will study four City & Guilds Creative Skills Qualifications at level 2 :
# City & Guild 7822- 40 Woodcarving L2
# City & Guild 7822-68 Woodwork L2
# City & Guild 7822-30 Cabinet-making
# City & Guild 7822-14 Woodturning
You will also study Basic Skills in Literacy and Numeracy for 4 hours per week, leading to Certificates in Adult Literacy and Adult Numeracy at level 1
What qualification will I get?
On successful completion, you will have achieved the four City and Guilds awards listed above
What can I do after the course?
You should progress into employment
