Course description
What is this course about?
You will develop your conceptual understanding of the business world, and business decision-making. In Unit One you study how to start a business and planning the finances of the business. In Unit Two you will study: people in businesses; the organisation of business operations; the use of marketing to compete effectively; and further aspects of finance.
What will I study?
This course teaches you how to consider the issue, or problems, arising in a particular business from a variety of different perspectives. The different aspects of business activity you will study are:

# , The key financial tools employed when starting a business
# , How companies can organise the workforce, and motivate people
# , How firms organise the production of goods and services
# , How businesses engage in financial planning and decision-making
# , The ways in which firms market their products, influence sales and compete effectively.

You will be assessed by exam at the end of the year, but there is no coursework.

What can I do after the course?
From the AS-Level course you can go on to A2-Level study and prepare for university entrance. The course is very suitable for learners who wish to study business, or a business-related subject at university and prepares you for a career in some aspect of business.
