  General information
  
  This National Diploma in Sport follows the Performance and Excellence pathway and incorporates a practical rugby or netball coaching programme. Potential students must demonstrate self motivation, enthusiasm and a geniune commitment to improve their academic and practical skills.
  
  Course content
  
  Students will study 18 Units over a 2-year period. These include:
  
      * Body in Action
      * Health and Safety in Sport
      * Training and Fitness for Sport
      * Athletes Lifestyle
      * Fitness Testing
      * Appropriate Level Key Skills
  
  Teaching and assessment
  
  Students will be assessed using a variety of assessment methods including completion of assignments, completion of training diaries and observation of practical skills.  Students will experience a variety of teaching and learning strategies
  
  Progression
  
  This course is equivalent to 3 A levels (3 x A2s) which means you can progress to Higher Education or look to obtain suitable employment.
