Course description
Course content:
This is a one year course for those aged 19+ who don't have the usual university entrance qualifications, but want to progress into higher education.
Humanities and Social Sciences students choose three subjects from the following list: Historical Studies, Literatures, Linguistics, Sociology, Psychology.
Course Structure:
This is a credit based course, and to pass you need to gain a minimum of 54 credits. These are accumulated as the year progresses, mostly through coursework, although examinations are also set in some subjects. Academic and tutorial support is given throughout the course, and you will receive help and advice with your university applications through the UCAS system.

You will have access to our fully equipped, state-of-the-art Learning Centres at 3 College Centres. This includes free Internet access.
Assessment:
Continuous assessment through essays, exams, assignments and presentations.
