Course content:
This course in intended to prepare you for entry into Higher Education, and is aimed at those wishing to progress to University and who may lack formal academic qualifications. The course proves you with a core of study skills, tutorial, IT and specialist business units (marketing, planning, strategy, operations, business environment, HR and Finance) to prepare you for degree study. Tutorial sessions will facilitate your UCAS application.
Course Structure:
This is a credit based course and each piece of coursework or examination you achieve gains you a credit until you reach the required total and have covered the necessary subjects. Many approaches to learning are used including research, observation, written assessment, peer assessment and individual and small group presentations
Course resources:
All students have access to our fully equipped, state-of-the-art Learning Centres at 3 College Centres. This includes free Internet access.
Assessment:
Takes place throughout the course and will take the form of essays, assignments, presentations, tests and final examinations. Students must pass each unit and gain a total of 54 credits (of which 36 must be at Level 3) to achieve the qualification
Next step:
Degree or higher education, such as STC's HND Business and Finance or BA Business Management (with Kingston University) or at an alternative HE institution.
