Managing for the Future
Managing the Future has been specifically designed to offer you an opportunity to tailor your MBA to your own specific circumstances and/or the needs of your employer. The module allows the opportunity to apply systematic enquiry methods and imaginative approaches to identify and evaluate the implications of future-oriented issues and challenges and to formulate appropriate responses to these issues.
However, it goes beyond the concept of narrowly-focused electives, with an approach that challenges MBA participants to select and integrate their later-stage learning and it will be up to you – in conjunction with your fellow students – to determine precisely the issues you study.
The Business Project
To complete your MBA, you will be required to undertake extensive research into a business and management challenge of particular interest to you. You will then have to analyse your findings in depth. You can draw from issues that you have come up against in your career to date, or consider those challenges that your organisation currently faces, or explore an issue outside your own experience. It is up to you. The business project allows you the chance to demonstrate your business acumen as well as the opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills you have learnt on the programme. The project provides another opportunity to tailor your MBA to your own specific needs.
