Objectives
The extended degree route involves four years. The foundation year (known as Year 0) provides the background necessary for entry into our BSc (Hons) courses offered by the Universitys departments of Health and Human Sciences, Psychology and the London Metropolitan Polymer Centre. Designed for applicants with little or no scientific background, the chemistry and biology modules therefore assume no prior knowledge of these subjects. This course is recognised by the DfES and, if you are eligible, tuition fees will be paid in full by your LEA.

Entry requirements
You should have at least one A-level pass or an AVCE, either in arts or science subjects, plus the equivalent of GCSE Mathematics and English at grade C. Mature students without formal qualifications are welcome to apply and will usually be interviewed.
