    Programme

    -Year 1 addresses fundamental topics in environmental science, human and physical geography, and ecology. You will consider landscape evolution, assessing the impact of geology, climate change and socio-cultural changes.
     
    -In Year 2, you will compare hazard prediction techniques and prevention methodologies. You will look at freshwater and terrestrial environments, weather and climate, environmental archaeology and geomorphology. Work experience and international exchange visit modules are available, and you also have the option to carry out a sandwich placement.
     
    -Year 3 will include the study of spatial information analysis, fieldwork practice and conservation, and heritage legislation. Environmental control technologies, together with perspectives on environmental resource management will come under sharp focus. You will have the chance to analyse spatial data using Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems. The Honours Project will enable you to undertake an extended problem-focused investigation.
