Objectives
This degree programme will give you a comprehensive understanding of the history, nature and power of the media and encourage you to explore the relationships between different forms of media, culture and society. You will explore and analyse mediated culture. From film to TV, to art and advertising, you will examine the central role that media and popular culture occupies in contemporary society. Through analysis and creative interaction, you will be encouraged to examine the ways in which the media shapes our lives - and the ways in which we can resist!

Entry requirements
Entry requirements You will need three GCSEs at grade C or above (or equivalent), including English Language and Maths, plus one of the following: * 160 points (including a minimum of two A2 Levels or a 12 unit AVCE or a combination) or * 160 points from BTEC National Diploma / Certificate or * Equivalent Scottish, Irish, Welsh or overseas qualifications or * An equivalent qualification to those listed above (eg Access to Higher Education certificate, International Baccalaureate)
