Objectives
This course is part of a new cluster in Business and Management. It is well documented that there is a skills gap in the UK in the areas of management and leadership, which results in the underperformance of UK organisations on the international stage. The BA Management & Leadership exists to narrow that gap, offering students the opportunity to explore the models, theories and concepts of management and leadership. Managers today require a broad range of skills and capabilities, including the ability to operate effectively in a rapidly changing and increasingly global business environment. The BA Management & Leadership is specifically designed to develop the essential knowledge and skills for a career in management, with a particular focus on developing leadership competence and capability. As all organisations are managed within a broader context, be that local, national or international, this course provides a comprehensive grounding in the disciplines that will enable a better understanding of these environments.
