  • Objectives
    The academic study of film has, in recent years, become a popular alternative and/or complement to traditional arts subjects. Film is both a global product and a local experience. It is also part of the increasingly visual culture that is experienced almost everywhere in the world today. A grounding in this area will prepare you to work in the cultural industries and will also enable you to understand and analyse the role of the visual in today's world.
  • Entry requirements
    Entry requirements You will need three GCSEs at grade C or above (or equivalent), including English Language, plus one of the following: * 160 points (including a minimum of two A2 Levels or a 12 unit AVCE or a combination) or * 160 points from BTEC National Diploma Certificate or * Equivalent Scottish, Irish or Welsh or overseas qualifications or * An equivalent qualification to those listed above (eg Access to Higher Education Certificate, International Baccalaureate)
