Objectives
The American Studies programme at King's provides one of the most versatile and academically rich range of possibilities for the study of the culture, society and the arts of the United States and the Americas in the whole of Britain. Courses in Film Studies will provide you with the conceptual tools for understanding critically how society is mediated by cinematic and electronic images, and to give a background for careers in the media arts and related activities.

Entry Requirements -International Baccalaureate 34 points overall including HL6 in English and History -Irish Leaving Certificate A1 A1 B1 B1 B2 B2 at Higher level including grade B1 in English or History -European Baccalaureate 80% overall inc 80% in English or History -USA: Advanced Placement Tests Three AP subjects with 544 including English or History at grade 5 -Australia: Tertiary Entrance Ranking 95+ Tertiary Entrance Ranking, or an OP of band 4 for Queensland
